Information the Antique and Vintage Wardrobe collects

So that your order can be fulfilled, you must provide us with certain information, such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide us with additional personal information (for a special request to source something specific), if you contact us directly.

If you decide to contact us via this website you will most probably give us your name and email address. Please note that we do not use this information for anything other than the purpose it was given (i.e. to reply to you). We do not keep details any longer than necessary and will not retain email addresses for marketing purposes (we currently do not send out newsletters or offers).

If you contact us directly to purchase an item but choose not to purchase via the website (for example, via Instagram direct message or email), so that your order can be fulfilled, you will be required provide us with certain information, such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information (we accept a bank transfer, cheque (cleared before item is sent), Paypal or iZettle and for this would ask for your email address to send you an invoice), and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide us with additional personal information (for a special request to source something specific), if you contact me directly. 

Why your information is required and how it is used

We rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
As needed to provide our services, such as when we use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;

The Antique and Vintage Wardrobe does not use your personal information other than for answering your questions, or for fulfilling your order and for resolving any issues related to the order. We currently do not have a mailing list.

Data Retention

Your information is stored securely. We use password protected devices and use security software. Paper copies of information are stored securely and shredded when not required any more.  We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and as described in this Privacy and Cookie Policy. However, we may also be required to retain this information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. We generally delete any emails every 6 months unless there is a valid reason to retain them for longer, and in the case of orders, usually keep your data for the following time period: 6 years.

We will delete your personal information unless we have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons. Please note that we do not use your information for marketing or advertising.
  • Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

  • Links to third parties: Our website includes widgets that enable you to interact with The Antique and Vintage Wardrobe's social media feeds. (Instagram and Facebook). When clicked you will be taken to the relevant third-party website.
